Frequently Asked Questions

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient system of natural medicine that sees health as balance — between body, mind, and nature.
It teaches us that no two people are the same, and that real healing comes from understanding your unique constitution, your rhythms, and the small choices you make each day.

What can I book a consultation for?

You can book a consultation for:

  • Hormonal or menstrual health support

  • Fertility preparation or cycle tracking

  • Postpartum recovery and nourishment

  • Nervous system depletion, anxiety, or burnout

  • Digestive issues or general imbalance

If you’re unsure where to start, the Mapping Consultation is the best first step — we explore your current state, identify root causes, and create a personalised plan.

How does an online consultation work?

Sessions are held online via video call.
Before your appointment, you’ll receive an intake form to complete so I can get a clear picture of your health, lifestyle, and goals.
During the session, we’ll explore your constitution (dosha), patterns, and needs in depth.
Afterwards, you’ll receive a written Ayurvedic plan with practical tools — food guidance, herbs, and daily rhythm suggestions — to begin integrating at home.

What is included in a Mapping Consultation?

  • 75-minute online session

  • Personalised Ayurvedic plan (diet, herbs, and daily routine)

  • 30-minute follow-up call after 2–3 weeks

  • Notes, recipes, and support materials to help you apply it in daily life

Why do some offerings run for 42 days?

In Ayurveda, forty-two days represents the time it takes for the body to restore its deeper tissues and rebuild ojas — the essence of vitality and stability.
This rhythm supports deep nourishment, especially after birth, depletion, or illness.
Unlike short-term fixes, these longer containers give space for true integration and repair.

What’s the difference between Ayurveda and modern healthcare?

Modern medicine focuses on treating symptoms.
Ayurveda focuses on understanding why those symptoms appear in the first place — often long before they become illness.
It’s preventative, personalised, and honours your body’s natural intelligence.
They can work beautifully together — Ayurveda supports your system while modern medicine addresses specific conditions.

Do you prescribe herbs or supplements?

Yes — when needed, I recommend Ayurvedic herbs, ghee blends, or teas to complement your plan.
All recommendations are gentle, high-quality, and explained clearly. You can order them through the Art of Ayu Shop once available.

Do I need to follow a strict diet?

No. Ayurveda isn’t about restriction — it’s about rhythm and awareness.
You’ll receive guidance that works with your lifestyle and the season you’re in. Small, consistent changes make the biggest difference.

Can I work with you if I’m pregnant or postpartum?

Absolutely.
I offer Postpartum Reconnection pathways for new mothers — 42-day or 3-month options with personalised food, herbs, and rhythm support.
These sessions focus on rebuilding strength, digestion, and calm after birth.

Do you offer in-person sessions or massages?

All offerings are available online and limited spaces available for packages in person - local to Brisbane only.

How do I prepare for my session?

Come as you are — no preparation needed.
If you’d like, have a warm drink nearby, wear something comfortable, and set aside a quiet space for yourself.
After your session, take a little time to rest and integrate.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours before your session.
Missed appointments without notice can’t be refunded, but I understand life happens — just reach out if something comes up.

Do you work with international clients?

Yes. All online sessions are available worldwide
