About

Rikahlia Lavi founder of The Art of Ayu

I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of nature, rhythm, and creativity, the quiet beauty of tending to life with care. My journey began in holistic health as a yoga instructor and Ayurvedic massage therapist, and over time it expanded into nutrition, herbal medicine, and women’s wellbeing.

Along the way, I noticed something profound: when we nurture our bodies, honour our cycles, and create small rituals for ourselves, life begins to feel richer, calmer, and more alive.

Ayurveda has been a lens through which I could understand my own body, energy, and seasons, and in turn, guide others back to their natural rhythm.

Health, to me, isn’t a formula, it’s personal, intuitive, and cyclical. It’s about listening to your body, noticing how you feel, and choosing nourishment that supports you from the inside out. Sometimes that looks like herbs and oils, sometimes rest and simplicity, sometimes creativity and connection.

Through The Art of Ayu, I bring this wisdom into modern life, offering spaces, tools, and experiences that bridge the ancient with the everyday. From handcrafted ghee and herbal blends to bodywork, postpartum care, and artful ritual pieces, everything I create is rooted in one belief:

wellbeing and beauty are inseparable.
Small, intentional acts of care can change the way we live and feel, physically, emotionally, and creatively.

Before building this work, I spent many years travelling, living in eight countries and visiting over forty. I worked as a travel agent, helping others explore the world while doing the same myself. Those years were expansive, colourful, and full of adventure, but they also taught me something essential: the importance of grounding.

After years of movement, I’ve found home in Brisbane, where I live with my partner and our two dogs. Life here is slower and more rooted. You’ll often find me with my hands in soil tending the vegetable garden, or covered in clay or paint, stirring herbs on the stove, or crafting ghee in the kitchen, small rituals that bring me back to centre.

This space is the meeting point of all I love, Ayurveda, creativity, nourishment, and home. It’s a place for women to reconnect with themselves, rebuild vitality, and find beauty in the everyday.

My mission is simple, to help you craft a life that feels aligned, grounded, and vibrant, a life where ritual, nourishment, and creativity aren’t luxuries, but everyday possibilities.
